An amazing friend on Facebook came up with the wonderful idea of decorating spoons for Endometriosis awareness and so I created my own and couldn’t miss this opportunity.

I painted the wooden spoons yellow first with yellow acrylic paint, then I used yarn for their hair, and a ribbon bow on each. Some wiggly eyes and a pom-pom nose, and I drew on the mouth and cheeks. The material on their body is made from felt and then some faux gems as a necklace and I just attached everything using PVA glue.

I hope you like them.

The group on Facebook is closed so if you’re an Endo sister then send a request and join in 🙂

“So I have an idea? How many other Endo sisters are willing to paint a wooden spoon yellow and turn a spoon into you?
I want to get as many Endo Sisters together to share photos of their own personalized spoons working along the Spoon Theory plus having fun and creating Awareness at the same time =)”

If you want to make them I have attached instructions on what to do. Spoons

If you want to find out more about Endometriosis then take a look at the Endometriosis UK website.

If you are unaware of why spoons are a symbol of Endometriosis awareness then read this article on the Spoonie Theory.
